Honeymoon in Bermuda

We could not have asked for a better honeymoon! Bermuda was beautiful, relaxing and romantic. A BIG thank you to everyone who sent us here through honeymoon gifts!

When snorkeled and dove a shipwreck from the 1800's, cruised the island on scooters, swam with schools of angel fish, and enjoyed a lot of great meals by the sea.

The architecture was amazing, colorful and historic.

As part of the UK, the island was filled with British influence.

Our last night there, we had an amazing dinner at the top of the historical Gibbs lighthouse.

Sunset at our cabana.

Preoneymoon on Orcas Island: The 3 romantic days before our wedding.

Our best advice to any future Bride and Grooms? Take a "Pre-oneymoon."

3 days before our wedding, we were whisked away in a seaplane to Orcas Island, where we relaxed in a romantic beach-front cabin. It gave us a chance to unwind and focus on what this whole wedding thing was about: Each other.

Thank you to the family and friends who worked hard to get our reception ready so that we could take this time alone.

The calm shores of Orcas made for a perfect spot to write our vows.

We enjoyed island made ice cream by the beach.

We spent our time kayaking, swimming at the lake, and eating at some of the best food the island has to offer. The night before our wedding, we shared a bottle of wine and an impeccable dinner at Ship's Bay.

Huck's 1st Birthday!

Even with Dad overseas, Huck had a very good 1st birthday.

His birthday cake was made out of organic beef log with peanut butter cookies and venison kibble. Of course, we couldn't forget the candle...

Wait fooooor it. Waaaait for iiiitt......

Turn your speakers on, it's funny. Sorry the camera is turned the wrong way :)

Sailing in Elliott Bay

The night before Justin left for the UK, we went on a 3 hour
sunset sail in Elliott Bay.

It was a gorgeous boat, 70'. Almost got us wondering if we should become a sailboat family instead of a speed boat family. Justin even has a perfectly good pair of white linen "Don Juan Sailing Pants."

The boat captains allow you to bring a bottle of wine and snacks. It is such a laid back atmosphere, we highly recommend this to all our friends and family - it makes for a great Date Night.

With this ring... (Just practicing)

Justin did an amazing job designing Shanda's ring. Pretty creative for an engineer ;)

Getting ready for Bermuda - "Live Every Week Like it's Shark Week."

Got all the snorkelling gear fitted up for the honeymoon. Now Shanda just has to bypass watching Shark Week this year and we will be good to go!
